On 10 February we held our first Researcher Day of DPTC 2. This event offered an opportunity for researchers to meet and develop relationships with others in the DPTC community, and to form a solid foundation for academic/industry collaborative research. We would like to thank all of our speakers on the day, especially to our industry partners who presented on the ‘Industry Perspective’: 1. ‘Introduction to Dairy Processing’ – Noel Galvin, Ingredients Production Manager, Carbery 2. ‘Understanding Dairy Processors capability in data analytics and machine Learning’ – Kieran O’Mahony, Data Science and Analytics Manager, Dairygold The event concluded with an Industry focused research communication Workshop with Skillfluence. In this workshop, researchers learned a practical communication framework that will make them immediately more effective in industry-centric communications. Building on the first workshop, a second workshop ‘Developing your Industry Focused Research Pitch’ was held on March 11. The next Researcher Day is planned for 6 July 2022 (TBC) – more details will follow soon.
