New Associate Members

We are delighted to welcome Siemens Process Systems Engineering Ltd (SPSE) as an Associate Member to DPTC. SPSE is committed to working with both academic and industrial partners to advance the digitalistion capabilities of process industries to create added value in R&D, engineering and manufacturing. SPSE has already collaborated with DPTC. SPSE is a leading provider of mechanistic modelling software and associated services to the formulated products industries. SPSE offers a single integrated software environment, gPROMS Forumlated Products, which is used to model both manufacturing processes and performance aspects of the resulting formulated product. It will provide licenses to its desktop modelling tools to the RPOs and will provide support to members in the use of SPSE’s software for dairy produce manufacture. It will also provide some advisory support and discussions to DPTC consortium members. DPTC looks forward to the exciting opportunity to work with SPSE who will provide technologies which will be well utilised and integrated into the planned activities of the Centre.

InnoPharma Research Ltd has also joined the DPTC consortium as an Associate Member. Innopharma have offered an in-kind contribution via an annual subscription for SmartX process control software license for a fluidised bed granulator. SmartX is a process Digitisation and Automation platform that enables real time intelligence and process control for unit operations such as Fluidized bed. It provides an IOT framework which aggregates both process and PAT data for the purposes for visualisation, analytics, Digital Twin Simulation, and control. It can be used to accelerate process development, optimisation, and development of control strategies. Innopharma has global expertise in the use of process analytical technologies, and process control software for developing commercial scale bulk solid manufacturing processes. It will be able to deliver technical solutions. And bring this expertise to the DPTC to help on board the class leading process solutions and modelling capability.

The DPTC associate membership model provides a unique opportunity to validate technologies and solutions for the dairy processing industry, working alongside world leading researchers in process engineering.
