Biography:

Nurdan is a researcher at Teagasc, working with Prof. Kilcawley on the DPTC projects. She gained her Masters degree with a project on developing milk enzyme inhibitors, from Hacettepe University in Turkey. She has also worked on the structural analysis of betalactoglobulin and its interaction with hydrophobic compounds. Her PhD thesis looked at interactions with milk and metallic nanoparticles as colorant addictive to characterize its behaviour with milk compounds. Her areas of expertise include chromatographic, spectroscopic and calorimetric analysis of milk protein and fatty acids, and she has several publications in the area.
