Dr John Tobin

At Teagasc for the last seven years, Dr John Tobin is the Head of Food Chemistry and Technology Dept since Dec 2016. He is the Senior Research Officer since April 2015. Before this, he worked for Danone in Dairy Science and Process Engineering for three years as a Sr. Process Technologist. One year before this, he worked in Processing and New Technologies as a Process Specialist From Aug 2011 to Dec 2013. John worked at Teagasc Agriculture and Food Development Authority as a Research Officer. He received a PhD in Food Science and Technology from University College Cork from 2006 – 2012. His publication was on the ‘Exploitation of Protein and Polysaccharide Properties’ in Dairy Systems. He also received a BSc in Food Science and Technology from 2002 – 2006 with a grade: 1H.
